Project renderings
The national housing report says accelerating urbanization, high population growth, poverty and years of underinvestment are contributing to the country's housing shortage. Sharijit ngilu, minister of land, housing and urban development, said the government would increase investment in housing.
Urban kenyans spend 34% of their monthly income on rental housing, and in the capital, Nairobi, the figure is as high as 40%. The cost of housing, plus travel to work and other living expenses, accounts for 44.7 percent of monthly income for many urban residents, who have high living costs, Mr. Njilu said. She called on local governments to increase construction of social welfare rental housing to reduce living costs.
China jiangxi international has a good reputation in Kenya's housing construction market. Kenya invited the only company to participate in the bid negotiation of this project. The successful winning of this project will further consolidate the company's market share in Kenya's housing sector.
