The Belt and Road Initiative promotes economic development along the routes
In 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative was first proposed. So far, China has signed Belt and Road cooperation documents with more than 150 countries and more than 30 international organizations. Imre Galambos, professor of the Department of East Asia at the University of Cambridge, said in an interview recently that China is one end of the ancient Silk Road, and the spread of information and technology on the Silk Road is two-way. China has proposed the Belt and Road Initiative, which can promote economic development in areas along the routes. In fact, these countries and regions have benefited from or will benefit from this initiative.
Over the past ten years, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation has been steadily advanced. The Belt and Road projects actively fulfill environmental responsibilities, carry out ecological and environmental governance, and pay attention to biodiversity protection. China has signed more than 50 ecological and environmental protection cooperation documents with relevant parties, established the Belt and Road Green Development International Alliance, and jointly launched the Belt and Road Green Development with 31 countries.
