On October 8, 2023, according to a reporter from Jiandao Network, Bijie, Guizhou Province planned to build a 300MW/600MWh independent shared energy storage power station in Jinyuan Weining, Guizhou. This project is an electrochemical energy storage power station using lithium iron phosphate batteries.

The construction site of this project is located in Wuligang Street, Weining Yi, Hui, and Miao Autonomous County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, and Guizhou Xineng Power Construction Co., Ltd. The project is divided into two parts, the energy storage area and the booster station. The planned capacity is 300MW/600MWh, equipped with 90 sets of 3.35MW/6.709MWh energy storage units, with a total installed capacity of 301.5MW/603.81MWh. The energy storage unit adopts a prefabricated cabin type outdoor layout. A new 220kV energy storage booster station will be built in the station, located in the northwest corner of the power station. Every 7-8 sets of energy storage units will form a power collection line, which will be connected to the 35kV power distribution device of the energy storage booster station and boosted to 220kV through the main transformer of the booster station.
