Recently, the construction of the Zunyi Road connection project in Licang District officially began, three months ahead of schedule. It is understood that the planned Zunyi Road starts from Anshun Road in the west and ends at the boundary of Chengyang District in the east. It is an important "horizontal" in the main road network. The project is planned to be completed and opened to traffic by 2025, which will solve the current problem of east-west traffic congestion in the northern part of Licang, greatly improve urban traffic conditions, alleviate regional traffic congestion, ensure travel in surrounding schools, communities, and other areas, and improve and enhance the east-west urban road traffic in the northern part of the city.

In recent years, Licang District has made every effort to promote the implementation of the "unconnected passage roads", further optimize the urban road network structure, improve the urban transportation network, and comprehensively create a new form and pattern of urban quality transportation. At present, with the continuous promotion of the renovation of old villages in communities such as Wantou in Licang District and the upgrading and renovation of plots of Qinggang and alkali plants, the development and construction of plots on both sides of Zunyi Road have been launched, and the number of residents living in Zunyi Road has been increasing. The demand for the remaining 800 meters of Zunyi Road that have not yet been completed by surrounding residents is increasing, and the demand is becoming increasingly urgent.

To this end, Licang District took the three-year action of urban renewal and construction as an important opportunity to recently complete the engineering construction and supervision unit bidding work of the Zunyi Road Connection Project, and achieved the start of construction three months in advance.
