On the morning of October 29, 2023, the first concrete was poured into the main building of the second phase expansion project of Beihai Company, marking the official entry of the project into the main construction phase.

The construction of two 1000MW ultra supercritical primary reheat coal-fired units in the second phase expansion project is a key project of the energy development "14th Five Year Plan" in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is also an important project for the group to deeply implement the "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" development goal, and actively respond to the national "three 80 million projects".

The unit adopts advanced high parameter, primary reheating, and ultra clean coal-fired power generation technology, adopts deep peak shaving and flexible operation mode, providing large capacity, stable and fast peak shaving response for the power grid. The plan is to double invest by the end of 2025, with an estimated annual power generation of no less than 8 billion kilowatt hours.

After being put into operation, two 1000MW ultra supercritical secondary reheat power generation units, two 100000 ton level general docks, and an annual coal blending yard (including railway dedicated lines) for storage and transportation of 10 million tons will jointly form a power generation loop of "dock coal transportation, base coal storage, and unit coal", becoming the first comprehensive energy base in Guangxi region with millions of millions of secondary reheat coal-fired power generation units, further enhancing the group's influence in Guangxi, To provide sufficient electricity security to meet the economic and social development of Guangxi.
