Nicolás Albertoni, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, said in an exclusive interview recently that since Uruguay participated in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, its cooperation with China has continued to deepen. This strategic cooperation framework has brought many positive results to both countries, especially in the areas of information technology, software development, bilateral trade, infrastructure connectivity, and promoting people-to-people connectivity.

Vice Minister Albertoni pointed out that Uruguay and China have a long history of cooperation, and the two countries have a broad basis for cooperation in many fields. With the further advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative, the connections and exchanges between the two countries have been further strengthened.

In the field of information technology, Uruguay actively cooperates with China, introduces Chinese technology and experience, and improves the country's informatization level. In terms of bilateral trade, Uruguay and China continue to strengthen trade exchanges and expand market opening to each other, providing a broader space for cooperation between enterprises.
