Recently, the pumped storage power station project in Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province was officially launched. This project is one of the first two recommended pumped storage power stations in Guizhou Province, playing a key role in building a new type of power system with new energy as the main body. China Water Resources and Hydropower 16th Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. has undertaken the construction of Section II in three preparatory projects, mainly including the construction of a drainage tunnel for the underground water reservoir and a powerhouse gravity drainage tunnel.

The total installed capacity of the Guizhou Qiannan Pumped Storage Power Station project is 1500MW, with a total investment of approximately 9.64 billion yuan. The plan is to install four 375MW reversible test pump water turbine generator units with a rated head of 526 meters. This is currently the largest investment, highest installed capacity, and highest water head pumped storage power station under construction in the karst area of Southwest China.

In the more than 20 years since entering the Guizhou market, China Water Resources and Hydropower 16th Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. has participated in the construction of multiple important projects, including Goupitan Hydropower Station, Guangzhao Hydropower Station, Silin Hydropower Station, Shatuo Hydropower Station, Balinghe Reservoir, etc. The successful construction of these projects has established a good image for them. Winning the bid again and participating in the construction of Guizhou Qiannan pumped storage power station will once again demonstrate the company's strong strength in the construction of pumped storage power stations.  Editor/Yang Yang
