Since its first operation in 2011, China-Europe freight trains have continued to operate with high quality and have become an important international logistics channel between Asia and Europe. The trains pass through 18 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in central and western China, connecting major European countries along the Belt and Road. As of July 2023, 84 operating routes have been laid out, reaching 211 cities in 25 European countries.

China-Europe freight trains not only provide convenient logistics services to countries along the route, promote the economic development of countries along the route, but also promote exchanges and understanding between different cultures. Through China-Europe trains, Chinese goods can be quickly transported to the European market, and European consumers can also conveniently purchase Chinese goods. At the same time, China-Europe freight trains also provide more opportunities for trade and investment among countries along the route and promote the process of economic globalization.

In addition to its economic impact, China-Europe freight trains also have important political significance. It strengthens connections and cooperation between China and European countries and promotes the implementation and development of the Belt and Road Initiative. At the same time, China-Europe freight trains also provide a platform for political dialogue and cultural exchanges among countries along the route, helping to enhance mutual understanding and friendship.
