On November 23, 2023, the signing ceremony of the Huadian Ganzhou Xunwu Energy Storage Power Station project was held in Xunwu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. County Party Secretary Lan Xianlin, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager Zhong Weipeng of Huadian Jiangxi Power Generation Co., Ltd., and Deputy County Mayor Li Xiuhong attended the signing ceremony.

At the ceremony, Li Xiuhong, on behalf of the People's Government of Xunwu County, signed an on-site contract with Zhong Weipeng, Deputy General Manager of Huadian Jiangxi Power Generation Co., Ltd., on the 400MW/800MWh energy storage power station project in Xunwu County, Ganzhou City, Huadian. This signing marks the beginning of a new field of cooperation between Xunwu County and central enterprises. It is a concrete practice of Xunwu County's focus on "leading the way, striving for excellence, and doing well", and also a powerful measure to implement the national, provincial, and municipal efforts to deepen the promotion of new industrialization.

Both sides stated that they will take this signing as an opportunity to accelerate the construction of energy storage power station projects, promote early landing, early production, and early effectiveness of projects, and further deepen cooperation in key areas such as new energy and new energy storage, jointly promoting the high-quality development of the new energy industry.

It is understood that China Huadian Group is one of the five state-owned sole proprietorship power generation enterprises established through the reform of the national power system, and is a super large central enterprise supervised by the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The Xunwu energy storage power station project signed this time has a total investment of about 3 billion yuan and will be constructed in three phases. The annual tax payment is over 10 million yuan, and it can provide clean electricity to the power grid with over 140 million kilowatt hours per year. It is the first county-level energy storage power station project in the city. After the completion of the project, it can not only meet the future load development needs of Xunwu County, but also assist the power grid company in peak shaving and frequency regulation, and achieve significant benefits in energy conservation and consumption reduction. It is conducive to the grid connection and consumption of new energy in Xunwu County, efficiently meeting the local power supply demand, stimulating the enthusiasm of relevant enterprises to invest in the energy storage industry, accelerating the construction of the new power system in Xunwu County, improving the reliability of power supply in the local area, building a high-quality regional power grid, and driving economic growth and related industry development in the region.
