The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway, a 142km high-speed railway, will closely connect Jakarta with Bandung. As the first high-speed railway in Indonesia and even Southeast Asia, it is not only an important project in the "Belt and Road" cooperation between China and Indonesia, but also the flagship of practical cooperation between the two countries. The data is remarkable: as of November 17, only one month after the official opening of operation, the Jakara-Bandung high-speed rail has sent a total of 383,000 passengers, and the single-day passenger occupancy rate is up to 98.7%.
In order to better meet the growing passenger demand, the daily operation of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed Rail line has been increased to 28 EMU trains per day since November 1. This means that passenger seats have doubled from more than 8,000 to more than 16,000. At the peak of weekend traffic, the number increased to 36. Such expansion not only provides more travel options, but also opens new channels for economic and cultural exchanges and personnel exchanges between the two places.
The opening of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail has not only greatly shortened travel time and improved travel efficiency, but also provided Indonesia with a new transportation infrastructure and injected new vitality into the local economic development. At the same time, this project also demonstrates the advanced nature and reliability of China's high-speed rail technology, and further promotes the cooperation between Indonesia and China in the field of infrastructure construction.
