The joint construction of the the Belt and Road between China and Africa is a complex and systematic project involving political, economic, cultural, ecological and other fields. Since the the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed in 2013, the principle of "mutual consultation, joint construction and sharing" that China adheres to in its cooperation with Africa has become the consensus of global development cooperation. At the new historical starting point of the tenth anniversary of the the Belt and Road Initiative, it is particularly important to review past achievements and look forward to future development opportunities.

In the past decade, China and Africa have worked together to solidly promote policy communication, facility connectivity, smooth trade, financial integration, and people to people connectivity, achieving significant achievements.

In terms of policy communication, high-level exchanges between China and Africa are frequent, and political mutual trust is constantly increasing. China has signed cooperation agreements with a number of African countries, including economic and technological cooperation agreements, trade agreements, etc., providing a solid policy foundation for China and Africa to jointly build the the Belt and Road.

In terms of infrastructure connectivity, China and Africa actively engage in infrastructure construction cooperation, including railways, highways, ports, airports, etc. China has helped African countries build multiple infrastructure projects, such as Kenya's Mombasa Nairobi Railway and Djibouti's multifunctional port, which greatly promote connectivity in the African region.

In terms of trade facilitation, the bilateral trade volume between China and Africa continues to grow, and China's imports from Africa have also significantly increased. China actively supports African countries to participate in exhibitions such as the China Import and Export Fair, providing more trade opportunities for Chinese and African enterprises. In addition, China has also promoted the China Africa E-commerce Cooperation Program, providing more convenient trade channels for Chinese and African enterprises.

In terms of funding, China has signed bilateral currency swap agreements with multiple African countries and established RMB settlement arrangements in South Africa. These measures will help promote financial cooperation between China and Africa and provide more financing channels for enterprises on both sides.

In terms of people to people communication, China and Africa have carried out extensive and in-depth cooperation in fields such as education, technology, culture, and health. China has provided a large number of human resource development cooperation projects to African countries, including scholarships, teacher exchanges, medical and health cooperation, etc. These projects help to enhance friendship and understanding between the people of China and Africa.

Over the past decade, China and Africa have jointly built, and the the Belt and Road has made remarkable achievements in the past decade, bringing tangible benefits to both sides.
