On December 31, 2023, significant progress was made in the wind power project in Shidian County. The Phase II project of Fengfengshan Wind Farm located in the county, namely the 77 MW wind power project, has achieved full capacity grid connected operation. This project is part of the expansion project of Shidian Four Mountains Wind Farm and is also the only wind farm in the county.

Since the start of the project, the on-site team has shown astonishing perseverance under many unfavorable conditions, such as tight construction schedule, heavy tasks, tight supply, transportation difficulties, and insufficient resources. In winter, they face high difficulty in lifting and high workload, but they still work tirelessly, competing against time and stars. In the end, they successfully achieved the reverse power transmission of the booster station on December 23, the first batch of units were successfully connected to the grid for power generation on December 27, and the task of full capacity grid connected power generation was successfully completed on December 31. So far, Three Gorges Energy has accumulated and put into operation a wind power installed capacity of 125 megawatts in Shidian County.
