Recently, in the speed test of the highest design speed of the Chinese commercial maglev version 2.0 version, the Changsha Maglev Express ran out of 160 kilometers per hour. It has once again set a world record for the operating speed of short-to-low stator medium and low speed maglev, marking a major success for China's independent maglev technology in the mid-speed field.
In June 2018, based on experience in development and operation, CRRC Zhuji Corporation and Hunan Maglev Technology Research Center led the joint development of more than 20 units to develop China's first commercial maglev train version 2.0. Compared with the "Maglev 1.0" version of the commercial operation of the Changsha Maglev Express Line launched in May 2016, the suspension capacity of the 2.0 version increased by 6 tons, the traction power increased by 30%, and the speed increased by 60%.
Tong Laisheng, Director of the Maglev Research Institute of CRRC Zhuji Co., Ltd., introduced: "Maglev version 2.0 trains are developed in accordance with commercial operation standards and tested and verified on the commercial operation line. All meet the requirements of the specification, indicating that China's medium-speed maglev transportation system has met the conditions for engineering application. " The speed measurement process overcomes major technical difficulties such as medium-speed suspension stability, axle-bridge coupling, and shoe-rail coupling, and overcomes the difficulties of high test risk, no successful case reference, and short night skylight operation time.
Liu Youmei, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the expert committee of CRRC Zhuzhou Machinery Co., Ltd. said that at present, China has established a completely independent intellectual property commercial maglev system from technology research and development, manufacturing, test verification to commercial operation.
It is reported that the maglev version 1.0 train at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour is suitable for urban areas, and the maglev version 2.0 train at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour is suitable for transportation between the central city and the satellite city. At present, CRRC Zhuji is taking the lead in accelerating the development of a maglev version 3.0 train with a speed of 200 kilometers per hour for intercity traffic. Editor / Huang Lijun
