The African Development Bank approved additional funds worth more than $ 13 million for the Abidjan-Lagos highway corridor development project.

The ECOWAS Committee ’s representatives from Côte d’ Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria provided this loan to the West African countries, which will be used specifically to cover part of the costs related to the project ’s research. The kilometer highway is connected to eight border posts.

Earlier, French media reported that the Economic Community of West African States planned to build the highway (Lagos-Dakar) from Lagos, the largest port city in Nigeria, to Dakar, the capital of Senegal. According to the plan, the expressway is divided into two phases of construction.
