All along, when the national road 233 is newly built within Lianyungang is a matter of concern to the citizens of Lianyungang. On May 21, 2020, this issue has made the latest progress. The Natural Resources and Planning Bureau of Lianyungang City released the "Haizhou South Section of 233 National Road". The expansion and expansion project involves the announcement of the Haizhou District Land Use Master Plan Amendment Plan and Permanent Basic Farmland Supplementary Plan, which means that the G233 National Road from Lianyungang City to Guanyun is not far away from construction.

The G233 national highway starts from Keshiketeng, Inner Mongolia, and ends at Huangshan, Anhui, and passes through 4 provinces, 1 district, and 1 city in Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Tianjin, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Anhui. It is an important channel from north to south in China.

Within Jiangsu, G233 passes through Lianyungang, Huai'an, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Nanjing and other cities. However, within the territory of Lianyungang, the existing G233 only uses the existing route, and has not been newly built. The route uses the 327 National Highway Ganyu Section, the 204 National Highway Urban Area and the Guanyun North Section, and the 236 Provincial Highway Guanyun to Guannan Section. It starts at Banzhuang at the junction of Linshu and Ganyu in Shandong and ends at the junction of Guannan and Gaogou Town in Huai'an.

According to the route comparison and selection plan, the route was finally decided to start at the intersection of National Road 204 and the planned airport avenue, cross south from the east side of the planned Shahang community, cross 357 county roads, and stop at Haibo District and Guankou Yunxian boundary: enter Guanyun County and continue to extend southward, passing through Qingyan and Lianhuaiyang Town Railway, crossing Shenhai Expressway and Guanyun North Hub, crossing the planned airport avenue, connecting the airport of Changshen Expressway, It runs under the planned Liansu Expressway and ends at the intersection of Guanyun North Ring of 233 National Road and 236 Provincial Road of Plan. The total length of the route is about 20.926km.

The route and the 204 National Highway are set up with a single-horn interchange, and a diamond-shaped interchange is planned with Jinhui Road on the north side of the planned Shahang Community. In the near future, it will cross the plan of the 204 National Highway connecting line in the near future, and reserve a T-shaped hub plan in the long-term with the direction of the airport.

After the road is completed, a new passage will appear from the urban area to the airport, and it will be more convenient for the people of Lianyungang to fly to and from the urban area. Editor / Zhao Jing
