On June 2, 2020, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province held a comprehensive launching ceremony for the governance of the Lishui River Basin. The Lishui River will comprehensively improve the water environment of the basin in the future and show people with a new look.

It is understood that the implementation scope of the comprehensive treatment project of the Lishui River Basin is the Lishui River Basin south of Dayong in the southwest, north of the Shuikou Gate, and west of the East Line of the First Ring Road of Foshan. The basin area is 66.01km2, and the major rivers involved include 3 There are 110 main rivers, 8 main rivers and 99 main rivers.

The construction of the project includes hydropower and bank dike renovation projects, pollution source control and sewage interception pipe network engineering, ecological restoration and landscape engineering, and smart water engineering.

The Lishui River Basin governance project has huge investment and numerous projects. After the project is completed, it will become a demonstration sample of the integration of water environment governance and water culture in the watershed management of Foshan Basin, making water clearing the shore green a new normal in the water town of Mengli.
