It was learned from CRRC Tangshan that CRRC Tangshan officially won the bid for the purchase order of Kharkov subway vehicles in Ukraine's second largest city, which will provide 40 subway trains, spare parts, tools and supporting services for the Kharkov subway system.

The current operating vehicles of the Kharkiv Metro are products of the former Soviet Union. In June 2019, the Kharkiv Metro Company tendered for the purchase of 8 trains of 5 sets of metro trains, spare parts, tools and ancillary services for passenger transportation services of the city's existing metro lines and extension lines. The model is similar to the domestic B-type metro. This project was provided by the European Investment Bank for loans, an international public tender, and CRRC Tangshan Company bid in October 2019. The original planned bid evaluation results were announced before February 10, 2020, but affected by the global new coronary pneumonia epidemic, the tender was extended twice.

On May 28, 2020, CRRC Tangshan received the notice of winning the bid for the Kharkov Metro Procurement Project, stipulating a total delivery period of 35 months, and the project contract will take effect after the two parties sign it. CRRC Tangshan will use carbon steel body for the vehicles provided by Kharkiv Metro, with a width of 2675mm and a height of 3650mm. The train consists of 5 cars with a total length of 96.18 meters. It uses a 1520mm wide gauge and the third rail is powered by current , The highest operating speed is 80 kilometers per hour.
