Yunnan Province has recently accelerated the pace of transportation construction. On June 10, 2020, another road construction in Yunnan Province was put on the agenda. The website of the Department of Natural Resources announced the pre-approval announcement for the site selection of the construction project of the Department of Natural Resources of Yunnan Province ( No. 2020011)", it is planned to agree to the construction project of the Eshan-Shiping-Honghe Expressway project and issue the "Construction Project Site Selection Opinion".

The proposed project starts at Anchang Village in Eshan County, connects to G8511 Yuyuan Expressway, and runs from north to south, passing through Shuanglong Village, Longwu, Jiusha, Shaochong, Haimag, Longpeng, Xincheng, Songcun (G5615), Maanshan, At the bottom of the small river, the dam stops at the bottom of Jianyuan Man Expressway.

The recommended route length is 114.303 kilometers, including 18.2 kilometers in Eshan County, Yuxi City, 92.75 kilometers in Shiping County, Honghe Prefecture, and 3.353 kilometers in Honghe County.

The main line bridges and tunnels are 79.476 kilometers long, accounting for 69.53% of the route length. There are 27,590 meters/95 bridges on the main line of the whole line, including 3,360 meters/4 bridges; 22,570 meters/72 bridges; 1,660 meters/19 bridges; and 151 culverts. There are a total of 51,945 meters/33 tunnels, including 26,225 meters/6 long tunnels; 16,345 meters/9 long tunnels; 5,740 meters/8 middle tunnels; 3635 meters/10 short tunnels.

A total of 12 interchanges, 20 separate interchanges, 12 passages, 7 pedestrian bridges, and 1 crossing with the Baoxiu branch of the Kunhe Rice Track Railway are set up on the whole line.

There are a total of 5 overpass connecting lines totaling 24.07 kilometers, including 11.885 kilometers of primary roads and 12.185 kilometers of secondary roads. There are 2 self-rescue lanes and a total of 39 facilities along the route. The total estimated investment of the project is 22.934 billion yuan.

After the highway is opened to traffic, it will drive the economic development of central Yunnan, accelerate the improvement of Yunnan's expressway network, optimize the urban layout, enhance economic and cultural exchanges, and drive the development of resources along the route. Editor/Zhao Jing
