On June 15, 2020, along with the successful drilling of the first pile foundation, the city section of Dongyang Section, the first through-city expressway in Zhejiang Province-Yidong Expressway, officially entered the substantive construction phase of the main project.

The starting point of the Dongyang section of Yidong Expressway (S45) is located on the Yongjin Expressway. The Hutian hub is connected to the Yiwu section of the Yidong Expressway. The end point is the Wangdian hub to the Dongyong Expressway. The total length of the project is 33.6 kilometers. 9.8 billion yuan. After the completion of this expressway, it will realize the high-speed loop of Dongyang city area, while driving the economic development of Nanxiang, and quickly connecting the traffic between Yiwu, Dongyang and Yongkang.

At present, the construction of the Yibei Expressway (S45) from Jiangbei to Nanshi section has started, with a total length of about 10.7 kilometers, and the estimated budget is about 4.53 billion yuan. The starting point of the Jiangbei to Nanshi section under construction is located in the Hutian hub and ends at the exit of the Xieshan tunnel A total of 2 super bridges with a length of 3480 meters and a super tunnel with a length of 3247.5 meters are set up. There are 1 hub interchange, 1 general interchange and 2 toll stations.

After the Yidong Expressway is put into use, it will be connected with Hangjinqu Expressway, Shugang Expressway, Fotang Interchange, and Yongjin Expressway to form a total mileage of 66 kilometers, with 11 exits, covering a city area of 265 square kilometers.
