On June 24, local time, with the start of work order issued by the Federal Power Company of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Group, and China Energy Construction Guangdong Electric Power Design and Research Institute formed a consortium, constructed in the EPC general contract model of Bosnia and Herzegovina The construction of Unit 7 of Zla Thermal Power Station officially started.

The Tuzla Power Plant is located on the outskirts of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is invested and constructed by the Bosnia and Herzegovina Electric Power Company. It is the oldest and largest coal-fired power plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has a total of 6 units and a total installed capacity of 779MW. Among them, Units 1 and 2 have ceased operation in 2002, and Units 3 and 4 will soon be shut down. In order to make up for the power gap generated after the shutdown of the unit and meet the local power supply requirements, the Federal Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved the construction of a new 450MW cogeneration thermal power unit on the west side of the existing power plant-Tuzla Thermal Power Unit 7.
Unit 7 of Tuzla Thermal Power Station is the largest infrastructure investment project in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is also the project with the largest scale, the most mature conditions, the most promising prospects, the most guaranteed implementation, and the most stable project in the future.

The project adopts large capacity, ultra-supercritical parameters and lignite tower furnace technology. The whole plant adopts European standard design to meet the technical requirements of BAT (Best Available Technology). Dust, SOx and NOx all adopt EU emission standards, effectively achieving technological upgrades. The renovation is the first unit in Bosnia and Herzegovina that uses clean and efficient coal-fired power generation technology, and is the highest thermal power generation project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project uses the latest 3D design technology to construct multi-disciplinary 3D solid models such as pipes, equipment, electrical, and structures on the computer. Through collision checking and optimized design of the built model, the collision is eliminated or even reaches zero error rate in the design stage. At the same time, through information technology, project developers and owner engineers can share real-time data to achieve remote collaboration.

As a model project of international production capacity cooperation, the project host is designed in Europe and produced in China and Europe. After completion, it will be operated and maintained by Bosnia and Herzegovina to maximize the advantages of all parties and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. During the construction of the project, through training and guidance, it can provide more than 10,000 local jobs and effectively help solve local employment and social development issues.
