On the morning of July 1, 2020, the Shandong Energy Group Lingtai Power Plant 4×1000MW Coal-Power Integrated Project Company was officially unveiled. The integration project is an important support project for implementing the framework agreement on energy strategic cooperation between Gansu and Shandong provinces, promoting the "Longdian to Lu" channel planning and the construction of the Longdong coal power base.

The total investment of Lingtai Power Plant's 4×1000MW integrated coal and electricity project is 13.2 billion yuan. The construction of the project is built into a modernization of high efficiency, cleanliness, flexibility, low carbon, and intelligence in accordance with the construction concept of “standardization, digitalization, informationization, and intelligence”. Smart power plant, after the project is completed and put into production, the annual power generation is about 20 billion kwh, and on-site conversion of coal resources is more than 7 million tons. It is planned to start construction in March 2021.
