Zhanjiang Port now has a 400,000-ton-class bulk cargo terminal, a 250,000-tonne iron ore terminal, and industry-leading ship unloaders, ship loaders, loading buildings, etc. The hardware facilities and loading and unloading efficiency are among the highest in the port, and bulk cargo throughput The volume ranks among the top ten ports in the country, and it is one of the few ports in China that has the whole process technology of bulk terminal (loading, unloading, loading, and mixing). The bulk cargo terminal was put into trial production in 2014, and after it was officially put into operation in 2015, the annual iron ore throughput has basically remained above 21 million tons.
At present, the manual on-site control method of traditional bulk cargo terminals puts the terminal company's operation and maintenance pressure and cost high, and there are problems such as uncontrollable safety production, unstable mixing quality and low work efficiency.
To this end, Zhanjiang Port Group plans to build the country's first intelligent bulk terminal under the guidance of the China Merchants Group's strategic principles of "being based on the long-term, grasping the present, leading by technology, and embracing change". The use of information technology, intelligent control technology and the integration of terminal production management to achieve intelligent control and management of the entire operation line of the bulk terminal. The intelligent transformation of the whole-process production equipment such as bucket-wheel stackers and reclaimers, ship loader, ship unloader, belt transportation system, loading system of the bulk terminal is expected to be completed in two phases before 2022.
In 2019, the whole-process intelligent bulk terminal project received strong support from China Merchants Group, and received a low-interest loan of 100 million yuan from China Merchants Group's special innovation fund. At the same time, it was listed as a major PMO initiative of China Merchants.
In December 2019, Zhanjiang Port Group completed the intelligent transformation of 3 bucket wheel stackers and reclaimers and the intelligent transformation of stone crossings. The monthly financial benefit exceeded 90,000 yuan, and the initial realization of unmanned operation of bucket wheel machines and automatic intelligence of stone crossings Unattended control and remote centralized unified monitoring. At present, the initiative has entered the L4 stage and has been rated as a gold initiative by China Merchants Port.
As of June 2020, the completed projects of the intelligent bulk cargo terminal include the development of spiral flat feeders and flexible bucket wheels, intelligent bulk terminal centralized control room, fully automatic intelligent bucket wheel stacker and reclaimer (phase one) and other projects. The implemented projects include intelligent ship loader, ship unloader, loading building, intelligent dispatching, operation and maintenance, safety and environmental protection system, meteorological environment system, RCMS, edge computing station, intelligent pre-control dust suppression system, etc.
It is expected that after the completion of the intelligent bulk terminal, the bulk terminal will realize digital transformation and upgrade, improve the production efficiency of the terminal, improve the quality of mixing and storage capacity, reduce the number of personnel and equipment failure rate, reduce the cost of terminal operation and maintenance, and effectively improve the sprinkling of materials , Blanking, dust pollution and other environmental issues, laying a solid foundation for the construction of the southern bulk cargo home port and the South China iron ore trading and distribution center.
