On August 10, the Myanmar Project Bank announced that the government will add 71 priority infrastructure construction projects with a total project value of 7.9 billion US dollars. In order to show openness and transparency, and to attract investment at home and abroad, the government has announced 58 priority infrastructure construction projects on the project bank website from February 26 this year, and 71 projects have been added to this basis.

Currently, the project bank has a total of 129 priority infrastructure construction projects. Among the newly added projects include power infrastructure projects, solar and wind power projects, road and bridge projects, state-owned enterprise projects that will be reopened, inland port projects and other development projects. The Yangon viaduct project, the Minjian steel plant project, the textile industry development project in Sagaing province, and the Bago-Jietuo highway project are the major investment projects.

The Yangon Viaduct project requires US$900 million, the Minjian Steel Plant project requires US$847 million, the Sagaing Province Textile Industry Development Project requires US$660 million, and the Bago-Jietuo Highway Project requires US$524 million. . In addition, there are projects such as Monywa, Magway, Mugku, Jilinmiao and Bhamo Inland Port projects, as well as the upgrading of Bagan Airport, Qin Dun River transportation, and development along the Irrawaddy River.
