On August 21, the Changsha Hongqi Road (War Preparation Road-Ring Expressway) viaduct project officially started and is expected to be completed in 2022.

The Hongqi Road (Zhanbei Road-Ring Expressway) viaduct project is about 3.69 kilometers long. It is designed as an urban express road. The main line has two-way six lanes with a design speed of 60 km/h. The auxiliary road has two-way eight lanes with a design speed of 40 km/h. Hours, the design speed of the interchange design ramp is 40 km/h. The standard section of the elevated bridge adopts two-way six-lane, the standard bridge is 25 meters wide, the standard section span is 30 meters, and the maximum span is 50 meters. According to Wang Zhi, the project construction leader of Hunan Road and Bridge Construction Group, the Hongqi Road project is constructed in three phases, the first and second phases are road works, and the third phase is viaduct works. At present, the first phase of the project has been completed by the end of June, and the second phase of the project is currently under construction of subgrade, earth and stone and drainage works. This time, the construction of the third phase is being started.
Hongqi Road is a north-south urban main road in the east of Changsha City. It quickly connects Xingsha, Changsha South Railway Station and Red Star Global Agricultural Approval Center. After the completion of the project, it will promote the efficient communication between Xiangfu Road and the Ring Expressway. From Hongqi Road, you can go directly to the Ring Expressway, which will further ease the traffic pressure in the city.
