On August 24, 2020, China Harbor issued an announcement that the company successfully signed a contract for the reconstruction and expansion project of the Tanga Port Phase II terminal in Tanzania.
The owner of the project is the Tanzania Port Authority with a construction period of 22 months. The main work content of the project includes upgrading the existing berths 1 and 2 in the port area, building a new 7,200 square meter heavy container yard and supporting water supply, power supply, fire fighting, and drainage pipe networks for the terminal yard.
China Harbour has implemented a number of landmark projects in Tanzania, such as Dargang 1-7 reconstruction and expansion, Tanga Harbour dredging, etc. Through its good performance capabilities, it has won the Tanzanian government’s recognition of China Harbour.
The winning of the bid for the Tanga Port Phase II Wharf Reconstruction and Expansion Project has further consolidated China Harbour’s dominant position in the Tanzanian hydraulic market, and is of positive significance for enhancing the influence of China Harbour’s brand. Editor/Peng Xue
