The ancient town of Shaxi dates back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period more than 2,400 years ago. After thousands of years, it still maintains the most primitive architectural features. A quiet ancient town, there are not many tourists in normal times, so if you want to experience some antique customs, ancient temples, ancient stages, ancient shops, horse shops, ancient The red sandstone streets, century-old trees, ancient roadways, and ancient village gates should really be visited here.

This was originally an ancient town on the Ancient Tea Horse Road, and it was once prosperous. On the Ancient Tea Horse Road, Shaxi became a trade distribution center and the center of Buddhist cultural activities in Nanzhao-Dali Kingdom. It is an ancient town integrating commerce and Buddhist culture, and it can be described as a prominent place.

The ancient town of Shaxi has gone through a process of development, growth, brilliance, and decline. Stone bridges, ancient roads, and ancient streets all tell us its past. The hibiscus comes out of the clear water and it is naturally carved. Since it has not been over-exploited, the scenery here and the residents in the ancient town retain the original and simple beauty. Living here must be very comfortable, the continuous mountains, the blue sky, the vast expanses of clouds, the clear lakes, quietly shuttled in the long river of years.

The ancient tea-horse road passes through Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet, India, and Nantong Southeast Asia to the north. The ancient road passes through Dali, Lijiang, Shangri-La, Yunnan and other places. Between these famous towns, there is an ancient market-Si Deng Street, Si Deng Street is the soul and core of Shaxi, and is the place where Shaxi trades and trades. This place is called "the only surviving ancient bazaar on the ancient tea-horse road", and it is the guarantee that the entire street market will last for thousands of years.

There is an unwritten rule on Si Deng Street: the coffee bar closes at 10 pm, and the inn also requires guests to return to the shop before 10 pm. Walking into Si Deng Street always makes people feel particularly quiet, and it is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It also adds a lot of original rustic flavor to Si Deng Street.

The ancient stage is the most distinctive building on Sifang Street. It is located in the middle of the building on the east side of Sifang Street. The structure is exquisite, with twelve corners, and the wings are like flying. It contrasts with Xingjiao Temple. Although it has been repaired, it basically maintains the original architectural style. It is said that there has been such a rule in Shaxi. I have not performed the same in the ancient stage of Sifang Street, and cannot be called Shaxi people. It shows the position of the ancient stage of Sifang Street in people's hearts.

Although the ancient town of Shaxi is not as famous as Lijiang and not as gorgeous as it is, what Shaxi is more precious is the communication between people and nature, between people, and the communication with the ancient town's thousand-year cultural history.

Shaxi Ancient Town, a place where time is not old, with old stone slabs and narrow alleys, to feel the simplicity and leisure, you will be fascinated by this ancient town. Editor/He Yuting
