The Yuxiang Double Line Expressway is a traffic arterial road connecting Chongqing to Hunan. The total length of the route is 280 kilometers, the bridge-tunnel ratio is 80%, the total investment is 64.6 billion, and the construction time will last 4 to 6 years. On September 9, the construction of all 18 control projects involved in the whole line started.

In the Nanchuan District of Chongqing City, the 3.7-kilometer-long Yuxiang double-track high-speed Shuijiang tunnel control project started in the early stage is being stepped up. At present, the two arched door openings at the entrance of the tunnel have been preliminarily formed, and the main construction of the tunnel is about to begin. On September 9, 2020, all 18 control projects across the line have started.

According to reports, the Yuxiang Double Line Expressway is an expanded line of the Yuxiang Expressway that has been built.
