On September 15, 2020, in order to promote the improvement of the transportation network in Yunnan, improve the traffic carrying capacity, and diversify the traffic volume, the Lijiang Municipal Transportation Bureau of Yunnan Province issued an announcement, Yunnan Construction Infrastructure Investment Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Construction Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. The company consortium won the bid for the Lijiang Old Town to Ninglang Expressway Project.

The main line of Lijiang Old Town to Ninglang Expressway starts near Guanpo of Huaping-Lijiang Expressway on the south side of Lijiang City, and connects with Heqing-Guanpo Expressway, passing Tuanshan, Wenhua Street, Yangchang, Jiaba Village, Yuanjiagou, Yulu ends at Kaiyuan Bridge on the south side of Ninglang. The Kaiyuan Bridge of Ningyong Expressway is renovated to connect with Ningyong Expressway. The total length of the route is 90.14 kilometers. Simultaneously construct the Lijiang North Ring Line, starting from the main line Russia Hub and ending at 900 meters south of the Lijiang West Toll Station of the Dali-Lijiang Expressway, with a total length of 23.55 kilometers. Both the main line and the Lijiang North Ring Road are constructed according to the four-lane expressway standard, with a design speed of 80 km/h and a subgrade width of 25.5 meters. The design of bridges and culverts adopts the highway-I level as the vehicle load level, and other technical indicators are implemented in accordance with the "Highway Engineering Technical Standards" (JTG B01-2014).

Simultaneously construct two 4.99 kilometers of interconnection lines, of which: the golden cotton interconnection line is 2.86 kilometers, adopting the tertiary road standard, the design speed is 40 km/h, and the subgrade width is 8.5 meters; the new group interconnection line of the north ring line is 2.13 kilometers, adopting three Class highway standard, the design speed is 40 km/h, and the roadbed width is 8.5 meters.

The main line of the project is equipped with 4 extra-large bridges, 53 bridges, and 13 medium bridges. The Lijiang North Ring Road has 27 bridges and 7 medium bridges. There are 4 extra-long tunnels, 6 long tunnels, 5 medium tunnels, and multi-arch tunnels. 1 building; 8 interchanges on the main line, 3 interchanges with facilities on the Lijiang North Ring Road; 1 expressway management center (monitoring sub-center), 3 tunnel management offices, 5 tunnel substations, 2 maintenance work areas, and expressways 2 road administration management stations, 2 expressway traffic police management stations and other necessary traffic engineering and facilities along the route.

The construction period of this project is planned to be 5 years, the planned start date is October 2020, and the planned completion date is September 2025; the total investment of the project can be estimated to be 22,287,552,600 yuan (including 2.89.5 million yuan on the Lijiang North Ring Road). The final project The total investment is subject to the approved preliminary design budget.
