Recently, the first pile foundation of Chengdu Metro Line 27, which was undertaken by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, was successfully drilled, which means that the line has officially entered the substantive construction stage.

The first phase of Chengdu Rail Transit Line 27 is an infill line in the northern periphery of Chengdu, with a north-south-west direction. The project starts at Xiangcheng Avenue Station in Xindu District in the north and ends at Heyuanmen Station in Qingyang District in the west. The total length of the line is about 24.86km, of which the overhead line is about 7.51km and the underground line is 17.35km. There are 23 stations (6 elevated stations and 17 underground stations), including 9 transfer stations. Set up one Dafeng vehicle base, two main substations, and the control center shares the line network Xinmiao control center.

The first pile to be drilled is the 10th station of the line-Weijianian Station, located on the south side of the third section of the North Third Ring Road in Chengdu. It is an underground two-story island station. Supporting type of "enclosure pile internal support". The station is equipped with 1 entrance, 1 safety gate and 2 sets of wind pavilions. After completion, it will realize an in-station transfer with the existing Line 1 Weijianian Station.

According to reports, after the completion of the Line 27 project, it will further strengthen the transportation connection between the northern part of Chengdu and the central city, expand the service level and operation capacity of rapid rail transit, and greatly improve the public transportation conditions for residents along the line.
