The newly-built Laixi-Rongcheng Railway is located in Shandong Province. It is the extension of the Qingyin High-speed Railway to the Shandong Peninsula and the main channel for foreign passenger transport in the Jiaodong Peninsula. The line starts from Lai Northwest Station, passes through Laiyang City, Haiyang City, Rushan City, Nanhai New District, Wendeng District of Weihai City, and ends at Qingrong Intercity Rongcheng Station.
The newly built Laixi-Rongcheng railway has a construction length of 192.8km, a bridge length of 126.486km, a tunnel length of 20.002km, a roadbed of 45.868km, a bridge-to-tunnel ratio of 76.15%, a design speed of 350km/h, and a total estimated budget of about 29.69 billion yuan.
