On October 27, 2020, China Road and Bridge issued an announcement. With the roar of motors and powerful impact sounds, the construction of the Montepuze River Bridge Project in Mozambique undertaken by China Road and Bridge started.

The Montepuze River Temporary Bridge Project is located on the N380 main road of the Province of Cabo Delgado in Mozambique. The length of the line is 600m, including the roadbed on both sides of the north and south banks and the steel trestle bridge across the Montepuze River. The north and south subgrades are connected to the original national road N380. The connection length is 375m, including the north subgrade of 134m, and the south bank subgrade of 241m. The main bridge is Bailey steel trestle, and the bridge span is arranged in 3 units×5 spans×15m=225m. This project is the most important and urgent project of the Mozambique government in 2020.

Next, the project will strengthen on-site management and control, use existing personnel and machinery to closely cooperate, complete the Montepuze River temporary bridge project with high quality and efficiency, and improve the ability of all project staff to deal with emergencies through regular drills and the "emergency number" at night . Focus on production with one hand and safety with the other to ensure the smooth completion of the project.

The Montepuze River Bridge project is the only passage from the port of Pemba in Mozambique to the northern natural gas development block. It is a key path for the supply and transportation of construction materials.
