Recently, the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued the publicity before approval of the feasibility study report of the Hefei-Zhoukou Expressway from Shouxian (Baoyi) to Yingshang (Nanzhao) section. It is reported that the project plans to start construction in 2020 and be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2023.

The Shouxian-Yingshang section of the Hefei-Zhoukou Expressway is located in Huainan, Lu'an and Fuyang, with a total length of about 95.25 kilometers. The whole line adopts two-way four-lane expressway standards, fully enclosed, full interchange, design speed 120 km/h, and planned construction period of 3 years. The total investment of the project is about 14.973 billion yuan. The route starts near Jinjiaying, Baoyi Town, Shou County, and connects to the Huainan to Hefei section of the G0321 Deshang Expressway, passing through Anfengtang South, Yinghe Town North, and Huoqiu County City East Hubei , South of Xindian Town, cross the Huaihe River and Jiangtang Lake flood discharge area near Huangjiamiao east of Linhuaigang, pass through Bangang Town north of Yingshang County, south of Gengpeng Town, and finally connect to G35 Jiguang Expressway near Hongzhuang of Nanzhao Town.

In the future, this expressway will pass through Shouxian, Huoqiu, Yingshang and other places. After it is completed and opened to traffic, it will efficiently connect the surrounding areas, further enhance the function of Hefei's comprehensive hub, strengthen the ability of Hefei to radiate the surrounding areas, and greatly optimize the road network.
