On November 9, 2020, the People's Government of Tianshui City issued an announcement that a consortium of eight units won the bid for the second phase of the PPP project of the Tianshui Tram Demonstration Line, and the feasibility study approved a total investment of about 6.4 billion yuan. Details are as follows:

The Tianshui Tram Demonstration Line (Phase II) consists of the section from Third Middle School to Wulipu (excluding) in Tianshui City and the section from Yangpo East Station (excluding) to Yingchuan River Mouth, with a total length of 21.597km; a total of stations are set up 19 stations (1 elevated station, 18 ground stations); 1 newly built Tianshui No. 3 middle school parking lot; 145m/2 underpass tunnels, 3,086m/3 extra-large bridges, 266m/2 bridges, middle 2 bridges of 76 meters, 1152 meters of steel bridges/2, 88 meters of pedestrian bridges/2, and culvert projects; simultaneous implementation of road reconstruction and comprehensive pipe gallery projects, as well as corresponding power supply, communication, signal, water supply and drainage, fire protection, Afforestation and other supporting projects.

Tianshui City Tram Demonstration Line (Phase II) project is divided into two sections on the plan:

Tianshui No. 3 Middle School to Wulipu (excluding) this section of the line has a total length of 11.589km, and the line is mainly laid along Qinzhou Avenue, Jihenan Road, Xihuang Avenue West Road, and Henan Road is in poor condition. The linear section of the designed line in this section has a total length of 7.235km, accounting for 62.43% of the line length; the design curve has a total length of 4.345km, with 25 points in total, accounting for 39.21% of the line length.

The whole line from Yangpo East Station (excluding) to Yingchuan River Mouth is 10.011km long, mainly along the planned Chengji New Town’s South Jing 16th Road, 20th Road, 24th Road, Nanshan Road under construction and Xihuang Avenue Middle Road, Paved east road. The linear section of the designed line in this section has a total length of 6.91km, accounting for 69.02% of the line length; the design curve has a total length of 3.101km, with 17 points in total, accounting for 30.98% of the line length.

The project consists of Tonghao Innovation Investment Co., Ltd., China Railway Eleventh Bureau, China Railway Fifth Survey and Design Institute Group, China Railway Communication and Signal Shanghai Engineering Bureau Group, Tonghao Innovation Zhejiang Construction Investment Co., Ltd., Tonghao Construction Group, Beijing Quanlu Communication Signal Research and Design Institute Group and Tonghao Rail Vehicle Co., Ltd. formed a consortium and won the bid.
