On November 18, 2020, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Transportation issued an announcement that the national highway 341 Liziping to Gengbi (Qinyuan ancient county boundary to Hongdong 1O8 national highway) highway reconstruction project opened bids, divided into 2 bid sections.

The starting point of this project is located in the south of Qianfogou Village, Beiping Town, Gu County, and is connected to the current National Highway 341 and the Qianfogou Interchange Line of Lihuo Expressway (to be built); via Haogezui, Guyang Town, Huaishu, Zhangzhuang, Jianshang, Guopen, Yinbi, and Qinbi in Hongdong County; the terminal is located in Qinbi Village, Dahuaishu Town, Hongdong County, connected to National Highway 108.

The total length of the route is 54.519 km. The main line of the project adopts the two-way four-lane first-class highway standard construction. The design speed from the starting point to K24+932.763 is 60km/h, and the roadbed width is 20m; the design speed from K24+932.763 to the terminal is 80km/h, and the overall roadbed width is 25.5m. The width of the separated roadbed is 12.75m; the project has 3 connection lines, among which the Qianfogou connection line (connecting the national highway 341 line Guxian Beiping Town, Changzhi City Qinyuan direction and Lihuo Expressway Qianfogou Interchange Connection Line) is adopted Technical standards for secondary roads, with a design speed of 60km/h and a roadbed width of 10m. The route is 1.105km long. Zhangzhuang Interchange Connection Line (connecting to Guxian Connection Line of Changlin Expressway) adopts the technical standards of secondary roads, with a design speed of 60km/h and a roadbed width of 12m. The route is 0.700km long. The Shu Village connection line (considering the traffic between Subao Town, Dahuaishu Town, and Quting Town on both sides of Jianhe River), adopts the three-level highway technical standard, with a design speed of 30km/h and a roadbed width of 7.5m. The route is 1.711km long. The design of the main line, Qianfogou and Zhangzhuang interconnection connecting line bridges and culverts adopts the highway level I, and the design of the Shucun connection line bridges and culverts adopts the highway level I and II. The remaining technical indicators are implemented in accordance with the "Highway Engineering Technical Standards" (JTG B01-2014).

The project is divided into two bid sections. Shanxi Road and Bridge Construction Group and Shanxi Road and Bridge Seventh Engineering Co., Ltd. jointly won SG1 for 1.037 billion yuan; Shanxi Construction Engineering Group and China Jiaotong Road and Bridge Construction Co., Ltd. jointly won SG2 for 1.59 billion yuan.
