On November 19, 2020, China Power International Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation, successfully completed the acquisition of Zuma Energía, a large-scale clean energy platform company in Mexico. This is the first major direct investment of a Chinese power company in the Mexican power market and the largest renewable energy M&A project in Latin America since 2020.

Zuma Energy is a leading clean energy independent power producer in Mexico, focusing on the development, financing, construction and operation of clean energy projects. It currently has 4 new energy power stations in operation with a total installed capacity of 818,000 kilowatts, all of which are located in Mexico. Areas with better resources.
