The governor of the Capital Administrative Region, Pakop, stated that after the population of Port Mozambique reached 200,000 in 2006, it passed a law to issue an urban development plan every 10 years. In the past 14 years, Port Mozambique has focused its urban development on waste disposal, skill training, changing hygiene habits, construction of sports venues, and education investment. The previous urban development plan also mentioned the road infrastructure in Mogang, especially the construction of the ring road. He hopes that everyone will work together to build Mogang into a livable, efficient and sustainable city in accordance with the goals outlined in the plan.
