The first phase of the Yadu Expressway project undertaken by China Communications No. 1 Company has completed 91% of the work and is expected to be completed in 2021. The Ministry of Public Works of Cameroon recently announced that the Yaoundé-Douala Expressway Phase II project has a total construction mileage of 136 kilometers and a total cost of about 812.8 billion CFA francs (before tax). It will be constructed in the PPP mode. The project design is expected to require 15 The project construction is expected to be 48 months.

At present, the project has entered a restricted bidding stage. The three candidate partners are French company Sogea-Satom-Vinci/Razel-Fayat, Portuguese company Mota Engil Engenharia Construcao Africa and Chinese company Sinohydro-PCRB-SDHS consortium (Note: They are China Hydropower, Power Construction Road and Bridge, Shandong Expressway and Henan Transportation Planning and Design Institute).
