On December 17, 2020, the construction of the Baise-Napo-Pingmeng Port Highway (the section from Napo to Pingmeng Port) in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region started. It is reported that this is the fourth expressway project that Guangxi Beitou Group has started for three consecutive days since December 15.

The main line of the Baise-Napo-Pingmeng Port Expressway is about 51 kilometers in length, with a total investment of about 8.6 billion yuan, and a construction period of 4 years. It is connected with Vietnam and is an important part of the ASEAN international corridor. The main line of the project has a design speed of 100 km/h and a roadbed width of 26 meters. The route starts from the Jingxi-Napo Expressway Interchange (planned), from north to south, and ends near Mengda Village, Pingmeng Town. Three interchanges of Napo, Delong, and Baihe are set up across the line, and Napo is the hub interchange.

Shi Guohuai, Executive Deputy Mayor of Baise City, stated that the completion of the Baise-Napo-Pingmeng Highway (Napo-Pingmeng Port) will promote the integration of Baise into the new western land-sea corridor, help build an important node city along the Belt and Road, and promote high-quality Baise, Guangxi Focus on the development and opening of experimental zones to promote the deepening of the economic and social development of border areas.

According to reports, the Baise-Napo-Pingmeng Highway (the section from Napo to Pingmeng Port), the Guilin Longsheng (Xianggui border) to Dongzhong Highway (from Shangsi to the middle section of Dongzhong), Wuxuan— Four projects including Laibin-Heshan-Xincheng Expressway and Laibin West Transit Highway have a total mileage of about 277 kilometers and a total investment of about 44.6 billion yuan, which will directly provide 13,000 jobs.

The construction of Guilin Longsheng (Xianggui border) to Dongzhong highway (Shangsi to Dongzhong section) started on December 16, 2020. The starting point is at the Qimen Interchange of Hena Expressway in Shangsi County. The route passes through Shangsi County and Chongzuo. City Ningming County, Fangchenggang City Fangcheng District. The project is an important part of the "Guangxi Expressway Network Planning (2018-2030)" Longsheng to Dongzhong Highway on the 8th line of Guilin. After completion, it will promote the improvement of traffic conditions in the Dongzhong-Aidian area, the development of port economy, Cross-border tourism development and urban construction.

The construction of Wuxuan-Laibin-Heshan-Xincheng Expressway and Laibin West Transit Highway will effectively solve the bottleneck problem of poor traffic in Laibin City, shorten the time and space distance between counties (cities, districts), and form a real A 1-hour economic circle in the sense. After the completion of the two projects, Laibin City and surrounding cities will be strengthened to communicate, greatly enhance the accessibility of Laibin City, and in the future Bin will become an important node city in Guangxi's new land-sea corridor.

It is reported that Beitou Group has started construction of 9 expressway projects in 2020, with a total estimated investment of 99.1 billion yuan and a total mileage of approximately 657 kilometers. The Longsheng-Tongzhong Port Highway Longsheng-Furong-Xiancheng Section, Longsheng-Tongzhong Port Highway Nanning Wuxu-Shangsi Section, Shangsi-Fangchenggang Highway, Nanning-Zhanjiang Highway, Nanning-Bobaina Section, invested and constructed in March 2020 The construction of 5 projects including the Bama-Pingguo section of the Tian'e-Beihai Highway (Bama-Qangwei common line) project started, with a total estimated investment of 54.5 billion yuan and a total mileage of about 380 kilometers.

The person in charge of the Beitou Group stated that the commencement of these projects will greatly improve and optimize the existing Guangxi expressway network, form a large outbound passage in the central and southwestern regions, and promote the construction of "Southbound, Northbound, East Rong, and Westbound".
