On December 22, 2020, in order to strengthen cooperation and communication, expand cooperation fields, and achieve common high-quality development, China Xidian Group and China Iron and Steel Research Institute signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing.

Bai Zhongquan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Xidian Group, pointed out that China Iron and Steel Research Institute is in a leading position in the materials industry and the two sides have a broad foundation for cooperation. Power transmission and transformation equipment is inseparable from the support of basic materials. The development trend of miniaturization, light weight and low energy consumption of power transmission and transformation equipment puts forward higher requirements for manufacturing materials. It is hoped that both parties can take strategic cooperation as the starting point, strengthen cooperative research and development, expand cooperation fields, and achieve win-win cooperation.
