On December 22, 2020, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued an announcement that the PPP project of the Chongqing Suburban Railway Bishan-Tongliang Line Project has launched a bid for the construction period of 4 years, with a total investment of approximately 8.642 billion yuan.

The Bi Copper Line project starts at Tongliang West Station, passes through Tongliang Station, Tongliang Xincheng Station, Pulu Station, Dalu Station, Qinglong Lake Station, Hebian Station, Daishan Avenue Station, and ends at Bishan Station in Bishan District. At Bishan Station, it runs through the planned rail transit line 27. The length of the line is 37.35 kilometers, with 9 stations, including 3 elevated stations, 1 underground station, and the remaining 5 are all ground stations; 1 Tongliang parking lot is provided. There are two main substations in Tongliang New Town and Bishan Main Substation, among which Bishan Main Substation is shared with the planned rail transit line 27. The line is a two-line urban rail express train with a right-hand driving system, a maximum operating speed of 140 km/h, and a 25kV AC system.
