The entire line adopts the two-way six-lane highway standard with a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The maximum speed of medium and large passenger vehicles, medium and heavy trucks and hazardous chemical transport vehicles shall not exceed 80 kilometers per hour, and the maximum speed of other types of vehicles such as small passenger cars shall not exceed 120 kilometers per hour. The section at the ramp junction The speed limit is 40 kilometers or 60 kilometers per hour, and the driver must control the vehicle speed within the corresponding maximum and minimum values according to the speed limit signs set in the lane.

There are many new types of traffic safety facilities on the Tianjin West Section of the Jinshi Expressway, including active light-emitting signs, central partition opening guardrails with anti-collision function, guided anti-collision pads, two-component markings, raised road signs, etc. It is the first application within the highway and will play an important role in ensuring the safety of the people and preventing road traffic accidents.
