A few days ago, China Railway Eighteenth Bureau Group successfully won the bid for the Jindia tunnel project in the first section of the railway project from Maribaya Port to Simandou Mine in Guinea, and achieved a major business breakthrough in the Guinea market.

The contract value of the Jindia Tunnel Project is RMB 1.579 billion, and the contract period is 34 months. The owner is a winning alliance. The total length of the tunnel is 11.65 kilometers, which is the national railway's first-class standard. It is the full-line control project of the railway from Maribaya Port to Simandou mining area. It is also the longest tunnel constructed by China Railway Construction in Africa. It is important for Chinese enterprises to accumulate and grow in Africa. Tunnel construction experience is of great significance.

It is understood that the Masai Railway is 555.53 kilometers in length and is the first railway running east-west through Guinea. It is also an important supporting project for the development of the Simandou No. 1 and No. 2 ore blocks in Guinea. After the completion of the Masai Railway, it will become an important transportation channel for the export of Guinea's iron ore, and will promote the economic development of Guinea on a larger scale.

"Win the market on the spot" and once again won the bid to win the alliance railway project is a strong testimony of the group company's efforts to promote the acquisition. In April 2019, the group company won the bid for Guinea's first modern railway-the DSTL-02 bid section of the Guinea-Dabilon Port to Shengtu Mining Area Railway Project. During the construction of the project, the project team used the determination of "starting to be a sprint" to overcome many difficulties such as lack of materials, harsh construction environment, and the new crown epidemic. The construction progress has always been the first on the whole line. The owner has led the whole line of participating units to the site many times.
