On the morning of January 2, 2021, after more than four years of construction, Wuhan Rail Transit Line 2 was constructed by China Railway 11th Bureau Group, China Railway 12th Bureau Group, and China Railway 19th Bureau Group. Wuhan Metro Line 8 has a total length of 39.2 kilometers, runs north-south and across the Yangtze River. It is the third metro line in Wuhan that crosses the Yangtze River. The second phase of the project starts at Liyuan Station, the terminus of the first phase, and ends at Yezhihu Station. The line has a total length of 17.6 kilometers, with 12 stations, and a design maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The second phase of Line 8 refreshed the beauty of Wuhan Metro. Through the design concept of “tracing the source along the river, smart subway”, the provincial museum, provincial art gallery, Wuhan University, Central China Normal University, and Wuhan University of Technology will be connected in series to create The strong cultural atmosphere adds aura and vitality. Jiedaokou Station is designed to be one of the deepest excavated stations of the domestic subway. The first "return"-shaped station of Wuhan Metro is the most complicated subway station, and the deepest subway station on the whole line, with a depth of 37 meters. When you walk into the station, you will be amazed by a huge "tree", which also "opens" the entire visual space of the station. It is spacious, bright, and artistic, which can be called the "urban forest" in the subway station.

Smart and safe comparison solution

The second phase of Line 8 used the BIM model for the first time in Wuhan Metro to relocate the pipeline. Aiming at the problem of many pipelines in the construction area of the station on the second ring line and the difficulty of relocation, a BIM model was established to provide multiple comparison options, determine the optimal path for relocation of the pipeline, and provide optimized solutions for different stages of encirclement.

The crossover section between Hongshan Road Station and Xiaohongshan Station has a mining method tunnel with a single span of more than 20 meters and an excavation area of more than 200 square meters. The design team controls the settlement of the ground through the excavation of the leading large pipe shed and the double-sided pilot pit method. , The use of explosive smooth blasting combined with carbon dioxide static blasting blasting, innovative construction methods to ensure safety. It is the first in China to adopt a full-height platform door system with a rail-top heat exhaust system for a subway station to cooperate with a platform fire smoke exhaust system, which improves the safety of passenger evacuation and reduces the project cost.

The first 5G pilot construction of the communication system in Wuhan Metro has helped the construction of Wuhan's "smart city". For the first time, the signal vehicle-ground communication system adopts the special design mode of "shared trackside equipment base station", which reduces engineering cost and maintenance pressure, and ensures the stability of signal transmission.
