It is understood that the Yantaixi-Changyi Railway has carried out the feasibility study report review by the China Railway Group Appraisal Center in December 2020, and is currently advancing the feasibility study report review and construction is planned to start in 2021.

North Yanjiang High Speed Rail Project

The Shanghai-Hefei section of the North River High-speed Railway starts from the new Shanghai North Station in the Shanghai hub and ends at Hefei South Station. The operating length of the line is 554.59km and the length of the newly built line is 519.87km. Among them, the newly built line in Shanghai is 51.04km, the newly built line in Jiangsu Province is 365.50km, and the length of the newly built line in Anhui Province is 103.33km. According to the relevant person in charge of the Jiangsu Railway Group, the preliminary design and related special evaluation work of the Beiyanjiang High-speed Railway has been carried out in advance, creating favorable conditions for the early and full start of the project.

It is reported that the North Yanjiang High-speed Railway is a component of the “Eight Horizontal and Eight Vertical” high-speed rail network in the National Medium and Long-term Railway Network Plan (2016-2030).
