At 13:00 on January 13, 2021, as vehicles slowly entered the entrance of the Lincang East toll gate of the Mo-Lin Expressway, the China-Myanmar international corridor Mojiang-Lincang Expressway was officially completed and opened for trial.

Mojiang to Lincang Expressway Project
The Mojiang-Lincang Expressway starts from Bixi Town, Mojiang County, connects to the Kunming-Mohan National Expressway that has been built, passes through Pu'er City, crosses the Lancang River, and crosses the Wulao Mountain into Lincang City, and ends at Lincang Chengbei Xiao Jie Village, with a total length of 236 kilometers, an estimated investment of 349.99 billion yuan. The whole line adopts two-way four-lane expressway standard construction, with a design speed of 80 km/h, a roadbed width of 25.5 meters, and the design of bridges and culverts for the vehicle load level of highway. There are 14 interchanges across the line including Bixi, Mengnong, Dugu, Zhedong, Zhenyuan, Zhehou, Sunan, Mengda, Zhentai, Dachaoshan, Bangdong, Pingzhang, Lincang East, Lincang North, etc. Overpasses, and simultaneous construction of Dugu, Zhedong, Zhenyuan, Zhehou, Dachaoshan, Bangdong 6 interchange links totaling 27.7 kilometers.
It is understood that the construction of Molin Expressway started on December 6, 2015, the main control project Wulaoshan Tunnel was completed on December 6, 2020, and the entire line of the project was successfully completed and commissioned on January 13, 2021.

Molin Expressway is Lincang's first expressway connecting Kunming and the central Yunnan urban agglomeration. It is an important part of the G56 Hangrui Expressway connecting line G5615 Tianbao to Houqiao Expressway, and it is also an exit channel in Yunnan Province to Houqiao Port An important part of it is to improve the expressway network of Yunnan Province and the important traffic arteries for opening up the western open provinces to open up the large markets in Southeast Asia and South Asia. After its completion and opening to traffic, the highway mileage from Kunming to Lincang will be shortened by more than 140 kilometers, and the travel time will be shortened from 8 hours to about 5 hours.
