On January 17, 2021, the No. 1 berth of the intelligent container terminal in section C of the Beijiang Port Area of Tianjin Port, which was built by CCCC First Shipping Bureau, held a joint debugging and joint test launching ceremony.
The intelligent container terminal in section C of the Beijiang Port of Tianjin Port has a coastline of 1,100 meters and three newly built 200,000-ton container berths, which can meet the current all-weather simultaneous berthing operations for the largest container ships, with an annual throughput capacity of up to 3 million TEUs.
Build a world-class green smart hub port
The intelligent terminal of section C breaks the limitation of traditional automatic terminal, adopts the world's first "unmanned truck horizontal transportation", "stack yard horizontally arranged side loading and unloading + single trolley ground centralized unlocking" automatic process mode, 3D laser ship scanning, and realizes automatic seaside alignment. Position, land-side one-key box, greatly improve resource utilization and reduce operating costs. At the same time, the terminal is the world's first 5G full-scenario application, integrating intelligent equipment, intelligent operation, intelligent decision-making, and intelligent management to create a "smart terminal" with comprehensive intelligent management and control of production management.
No. 1 berth started construction on December 28, 2019, and a company was responsible for part of the construction of the terminal. The launch of the joint commissioning test for the berth marks the official birth of the world's first 200,000-ton intelligent container terminal berth, which is also the intelligent container terminal with the shortest construction period in the world.
Facing the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the project team made flexible arrangements, organized construction forces nearby, and took the lead to resume work. During the construction, difficulties such as obstruction of earthwork outbound and complicated geological environment were successively overcome, and construction records were successively created to ensure that the project completed the construction nodes on schedule.
Up to now, the foundations of No. 2 and No. 3 berths of Section C terminal have been successfully completed. It is expected that all construction tasks of the terminal will be completed in June 2021. Editor/Sang Xiaomei
