Overview of Changsha West Railway Station

Changsha West Railway Station is located in Wangcheng District and will be demolished and reconstructed on the basis of the existing Changsha West Railway Station building. The construction scale is more than 100,000 square meters, with 12 sets of 22 lines, the first phase of development is 85,000 square meters, and the supporting comprehensive transportation hub New York 385,000 square meters is the first domestic scheme design with a "cross-shaped" station hall layout. The side pits in the Canton Hall and the multi-storey parking lot under the bridge are the first applications in China, creating a brand-new high-speed rail passenger station model.

The station is adjacent to Changsha Wangcheng National Economic and Technological Development Zone in the north, Meixi Lake area in the south, Lugu area in the east, and Ningxiang Economic Development Zone in the west. It is a complex that combines a national-level external transportation hub and an urban rail transfer center. Type transportation hub.

The design team adopted the design concept of "three Hunan, four waters, and azaleas blooming"-taking advantage of the height of the difference in space use, the building was shaped into azaleas with scattered petals. At the same time, the building façade is round and gradually from bottom to top, further shaping the beautiful posture of "azalea blossoms".

In addition, the design team combined the canopy structure on the upper part of the four facades of the building to shape it into the form of surging water, highlighting the regional characteristics of Changsha's "Three Hunan and Four Waters", and creating a new image of Changsha West Green Passenger Station;

At the same time, social cars, online car-hailing, taxis, buses and long-distance parking lots are arranged nearby under the bridge in the station, and four subway lines are directly introduced into the station and the square, realizing the seamless connection of various modes of transportation and the efficient and comfortable transportation of passengers. Zero wind and rain transfer experience, aiming to build a new benchmark for China's railway passenger station in the new era.

Changsha West Railway Station, as one of the main passages of China's eight vertical and eight horizontal high railway network-Chongqing Changsha Corridor, is an important transportation node. The annual passenger volume exceeds 15.15 million. The passenger flow transportation task from Central China to southern Jiangxi, southern Fujian, eastern Guangdong and other southeastern coastal areas is an important transportation hub connecting the urban agglomerations between Sichuan, Chongqing, Hunan, and Guangdong.
