Shen24 electric locomotive hauls 108 C80 vehicles, with a load of 10800 tons, a total weight of 11700 tons, and a total length of 1455 meters. It starts on the test slope at k113 kilometer mark.

K113 is recognized as the most difficult section of Shenshuo Railway (zhugaita Shenchi south section), with the maximum ramp of 12 ‰, the minimum ramp of 10.9 ‰, and a bend with radius of 500 meters. The successful start-up marks that the shen24 electric locomotive has passed the final "assessment" before it is put into operation and meets the requirements of heavy haul transportation of 10000 tons on 12 ‰ long and steep slopes. Previously, shen24 electric locomotive has passed a series of ramp start-up tests ranging from 5 ‰ to 10.5 ‰.

Shen24 electric locomotive is the world's largest power electric locomotive. It was jointly developed by CRRC group and national energy group.
