On January 31, 2021, the first batch of Japanese commercial vehicles to Kazakhstan began loading operations in Dalian Port of Liaoning Port Group, which also marked the official opening of China's first East Asia-Central Asia commercial vehicle multimodal transport channel.
Channel optimization status
The Japanese commercial vehicles transported to Dalian Port by ro-ro sea freight will complete the loading operation of the China-Europe Express train in the port, and then send them to the Khorgos Port in Xinjiang by rail, and finally arrive in Kazakhstan. Compared with the traditional Mediterranean and Black Sea routes, this channel can reduce the transit time of commercial vehicles to about 30 days. Dalian Customs and Khorgos Customs launched a rapid customs clearance mechanism, and the sea unloading and railway loading of the terminal were completed at one time, realizing a seamless connection. This time, the transportation time of Japanese commercial vehicles has been cut by more than half, and the comprehensive logistics cost has also been significantly reduced. In the next step, according to market demand, the transit passages through the Alashankou, Erenhot and Manzhouli ports will be gradually opened to expand the transit service network of commercial vehicles.
The transit transportation of commercial vehicles not only expands the business model of the terminal, but also enriches the source structure of China-Europe Express. At present, Dalian Port has renovated and expanded the original dedicated railway lines in the port, further optimizing the operating capacity of the railway lines of the automobile terminal. With the smooth advancement of Liaoning's six-port integration strategy, Liaogang Group will focus on cultivating new sea-rail combined transport routes, and make a major contribution to domestic and international multimodal transport.Editor/Xing Wentao
