Uruguay plans to invest US$300-400 million to develop road projects in 2021

Railway construction has now become a key area of transportation infrastructure construction in various countries. The Ministry of Transport and Public Works of Uruguay is expected to invest US$300-400 million in road projects in the country in 2021.

The Ministry of Railways plans to advance the construction of the double-track line 5, which will be carried out in three stages. Hernández y González will be responsible for the first phase of the project from Canelones to Mendoza. The Ministry of Railways will bid for the second and third sections from Mendoza to Florida and Florida to Durazno.
